Mossy Creek Soaps

I have joined another team on Etsy, BEST (boosting Etsy shops team). I love this one because it is full of featuring other artisans, which is something I love.

So let me introduce you to Michelle of Mossy Creek Soaps.

"Uncomplicated, Pure & Simple "

Soaps :) My favorite.

Let me start you off with the best way to wake up...her mocha & coffee soap:

Or you can go naked...which I suppose you will be anyway when using this :P

I just love her tree logos embedded in the soaps - such a sweet touch.

I found those in her Etsy shop, but she has her full line on her own website...so many more soaps to love.

And if you are looking for a Father's Day gift, there a
re plenty to chose from in her Gifts for Him section. I am loving this set:

Friday Feature: Batty's Bath

This is how they looked when I received them. And bonus - you can "recycle" the containers with her! How cool is that! I was going to take pics after I opened them, but forgot & just used them instead...so worth it! Here are some shots from her shop of the scrub & face cream....

This scrub not only looks good...it smells great! My hubby loved the way it smelled on me so much, he had to try some out for himself. The texture is so fab...and was great on his skin. My skin thanked me too. So soft & smooth afterwards. Yum!

The face soap also smells divine. And my face feels super clean after. It even looks clearer now. I have my teenager use it...and he does so without complaint. Always a good sign of a good product LOL :)
The coconut cream face soap was not in the shop when I wrote this...but I am sure she could whip some up for you....here is the whipped soap version:
Don't those look fabulous ?!?! Well, they are...and they are all mine - bwahahaha! Okay, so hubby has been sneaking even more of the scrub & my son likes the coconut face cream. It's still mine. And I know where to find more. You can check out her shop here. And I found a new release of hers at over at Craft Gawker...woots for that! You can keep up with all her bath goodies on her blog.

And now I am off for a nice long shower...finding such great handmade bath & body goodies have made my showers much longer than they used to be :)

BlogFire - Bath and Body

Bath and body, now here is a category I could go on and on and on showing off wonderful goodies. Some people have clothes. Some do shoes. Others prefer jewelry. Me - I splurge on soaps. It is my indulgence. And financially speaking, much less harsh on the wallet than those others. So all my soap is handmade. And my shampoo. And conditioner. Oh, and don't forget the lotion. Bottom line - I am clean and smell good :)I am sure you don't want to be here all day as I show off soap after soap, so I will stick to some faves - and only one per category. I won't even try to narrow it down by scent - but I am definitely more of a woodsy type than floral. Sandalwood over lilac any day!

Scrubs:
Pegasus Soaps: Whipped Coffee Caramel Cream Sugar Scrub

Soaps:
Dirty Ass Soaps: Sugar Skulls, Vegan Soap

Shampoo/Conditioners:
Doctor Sweet Tooth: Pink Sugar Candy Shampoo & Conditioner

Bath:
KB Shimmer: Bath Bomb Bonanza

Lotions:
Essensu: Green Clover & Aloe Botanical Body Lotion

I could not let this post go by without showing some of that lotion...I have some by my sewing machine (vanilla sandalwood right now), on the end table (honeysuckle), in my purse (pumpkin lavendar) and even at my moms (the green clover).

Shampoo Love

I have been trying to buy as many things handmade and/or local as I can recently. A month or so ago I gave a shout out on Plurk to find some handmade shampoo. I have already been using soaps (which I am now addicted to...just ask Ms. Moo of Spotted Cow Soaps) so shampoo was the next logical step.
I found a few I like (Gudonya...awesome salt shampoo - love the feel, Essensu and In a Lather - perfect bar shampoo for my gym bag) but went back for Essensu. She custom made a scent for me that is just wonderful...Vanilla Sandalwood. My hair has never felt so awesome! I got some small sample sized goodies to try too....face wash, lotion, conditioner...I think I am again addicted to handmade washables :)

Spotted Cow Soaps

I had other titles in mind...Ms Moo Who? or Butt Bubbles were among the top two. Sound strange? Not if you have ever visited the etsyblogger thread on etsy or listened to the Blockhead Show on blogradio Monday nights at 9pm (how's that plug Rod?).

Limited Edition Christmas 2008 Gingerbread Soap

The Ms. Moo is more obvious...one of the nicknames in the weekly thread (hope I am not giving away any secrets :) And the butt bubbles...well, you see, her soap looks good enough to eat - and it gets mentioned often enough about her's and agoodwitchtoo's soap that somewhere along the line the after effects of eating these tasting looking goodies was brought up...alot. There is even a great pic out there. I am still deciding if I want to give you link the pic straight off or let you have fun looking for it among the blogger's blogs...I'll let you know at the end.

Anywhooo...this is all about the moo. And her goodies. I have some of it myself. They were supposed to be gifts, but I could not part with them. Iguess that means I'll have to get more soon for those gifts. Don't they look great....

Vanilla Whipped Sugar Scrub

Sparkling Champagne Body Lotion Parfait

You can see how we eventually got around to butt bubbles.
Now my only problem is hiding them from the guys in the house...I want it all for me! And they wouldn't appreciate the fine qualities of a handmade soap. Even if they did - they would probably use too much - leaving too little for me. I guess it's not all about the moo - it's about me too. This stuff is good enough to make me one selfish little soap user!

So go check out her etsy shop. She always has new flavors. And she has more there than just soap. There are lotions, fizzies, bubble baths, salts, oils, gift sets, organic washcloths and bath puffs. She is quite the multi-talented cow. While you are out there...she has a blog and can be found on The Artisans Shoppe and Shop Handmade.

Ok - you want to see what happens when you eat the soap? Go to this
blog (another etsyblogger tulips treasure box) to see it :)
