BlogFire Guild on Blockhead Radio

You have probably seen a few write ups here about Blockhead Radio...yes, I am a fan. And now one of my teams will be featured on their show!

The BlogFire guild of ArtFire will be on Tuesday April 21 at 8 pm EST. It is a 90 minute show and a wonderful opportunity for some promoting!
This is a FREE promotional opportunity. If participating during the show you can plug any shop, any venue, that you wish. It's all about us, who we are, what we do, and our shops/endeavors.

If you are a fellow BlogFirer (firer? firean? fire person?) anyway...be sure to hop over there & sign up now for a chat room log in. And stick around for a bit to listen - it's always a hoot when a show is on...and even on off show times, there is great Indie music playing. And the chat room is always open - you never know just who you will meet.

Even if you have no clue what a BlogFire is...check out the show- it'll be a blast!

The Biggest Stalker

Blockhead Radio...gotta love the Artisan for Artisan mentality. I know I do. And now there is not only the Artisan Challenge...but the Biggest Stalker....

The Biggest Stalker is determined by several things...

Most importantly is how often we "see" your pretty faces :) Whether it be in threads, in the 24/7 BHR Chat, in the BHR forums, emails we've received telling us what you've done to prove you're the Biggest Stalker.... (although we do require that you refrain from doing anything illegal).

If you've chained yourself to a lamp post and screamed "Listen to Blockheadradio.com" as everyone passed by... we wanna see the video.

Of course you don't have to take it to that level. But that would be cool ;)

Let us know when you've blogged! Bring a friend to the show. Support the BHR Charity Sampler Box. Email us if you've told some random person on the street. Get that random person to email us. Tell them to let us know you sent them.

How the Biggest Stalker is decided is totally up to the Stalkers and the precedents they set forth. Bombard every host in every way you know how. Emails, blogs, chat, shows.... Just stop short of hiding outside their houses in the bushes. Remember, I have a broom and I'm not afraid to use it :)

Dazzle us with your persistence and creativity.

I will tell ya this... The Biggest Stalker every month will be handsomely rewarded!

Pass this blog along. Let us know ya did. It'll earn ya those frequent stalker points. No little annoying card to keep up with either.

Blockhead Radio is committed to exposing handmade and indie artists to the world. Check it out today!

Friendship Award

I have been hit yet again! I feel so loved this week.
This time from PandJCrafts....AND Lenox Knits!
PandJ Crafts makes these awesome rag quilt purses that she sells at Etsy....

And Lenox Knits makes wonderful knit items ... I should know, I have one of her awesome wrist cuffs...like this one:

So what award is this? Read what her blog says it represents:
These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

I am happy to say that even after a meme tag and 2 awards...I can still find people to hit up with this one :) And to those I just hit...I won't bombard you with another one...but know that you would have otherwise been hit.

Ruthie ok, you were hit with this one...but I want to pass it on to your Jedi's Musing blog :)

Huck - Huckleberry Arts and Blockhead Radio...you too Rod!!!

Lily - Tulips Talking

Stormy Designs ... even if you aren't into the game portion...you deserve the award :)

Ms Moo - Spotted Cow Soaps...who is too busy almost being a grandma any day now and may not get this award for weeks to come, but deserves it none the less

Fannie and Sprout - fellow MiCE and neighbor (really, like 2 blocks away)

Witchy - The Copper Cauldron

lepoque - Guilty Pleasures...twitter bud

On a Tutu and a Dare

I listen to Blockhead Radio on a pretty regular basis. I am even part of their group, Pluggers United. It's a fun group, we always have a good laugh and help each other out in the process. It is an artisan for artisans ideal. And Rod is the composer of this wacky band of artsy hooligans. Adding to the laughs this week...a dare. A good dare. A funny dare. Possibly a scary dare.

If 50 5,000 Impression Ads are sold in the next 30 days, he will dress up in ballerina gear & post it on all his blogs! Now, I realize you may not want to see such a sight... a full grown fishing/Nascar dad of 6 in a tutu? But at least you would know that you were part of making it happen. After all, I can't blame you if you don't want to look :)

Interested? Just pop over here.

....just to give you an idea...

Change is in the air...

Roseworks Jewelry and I have been doing this blog series together on online selling venues. She did a write up today on a new one that means a lot to us.

"Have you heard all the excitement about the new selling venue that's opening - the Artisan Shoppe? I know many of my readers have because they also follow Block Head Radio, and it's by the same awesome people! Well, the sad news is that the Artisan Shoppe is going to be down for the rest of the week. BUT, the good news is that when it comes back up it's going to be chock full of new features..." and "The other change that's in the air right now is with Block Head Radio. BIG and FUN changes."

Whoa Oh... Radio...

Ok - I stole this calendar list directly from blockhead himself...
I was lazy and did not want to rewrite the entire thing :)

I have recently started listening to Blochkead Radio on Blog Talk Radio...it's a blast.
The Players: host, Rod, and all his sidekicks: his wife & chat room ruler, HuckleberryArts; puppet master, co-host & host for Saturday nights, agoodwitchtoo; roving reporter, SewHappyDesigns; new hosts for his Thursday show at noon - RoseworksJewelry and TulipsTreasureBox; and all us faithful Pluggers United.
The shows primary goal is to help support and promote artisans...both in art and music. There is a chat room available (sign up is quick, easy & spam-free) where we joke and have a good 'ol time...even full of butt bubbles and chipmunks at times..."ain't it awful!?!"
This week, on Thursday the 11th, I am going to be the interviewee for the noon show - yikes! Looking forward to it...hope to "see" you there.
