Etsyblogger Carnival: Spring is About to be Sprung

This Etsyblogger Carnival theme...Spring :)

Do I look forward to Spring? Heck yes!!! I prefer Autumn...but Spring rocks because it means winter is over. O.V.E.R. Done. Kaput. "Snow go bye-bye" as my oldest once said when he was much (much) younger. I just really get sick and tired of the freezing cold and snow. It lasts too long and here in Michigan, it teases us once or twice that it's leaving. Big meanie.

But when Spring finally hits...ahhhh, so much better. I would not say I have SAD, but most Michiganders seems to have a touch of it at some point during all the dreary. And Spring lifts up that veil of blech and I start to feel so much more energized. Which leads me to my Spring activity... cleaning.

I know it's cliche, but I do the whole Spring Cleaning thing. I try not to call it that since I am not doing it simply because of the time of year. I just finally feel like moving, getting off my toosh (which is usually a tad larger than a few months previous) and clear out the clutter. The kids tend to have fewer toys, hubby less clothes and me just less junk after this process has taken hold.

So - gotta go - the sun is almost up :)

  1. I posted about spring today too, tilt....come on over...http://sewhappydesigns.blogspot.com/

    I like your flower pics!

  2. I cannot wait for Spring to get here!

  3. beautiful flowers! I, too, feel like getting off my toosh, bec now, there's somewhere to go!

  4. My parents are in MI as well...so I know what you mean about the long, dreary winters!
I am always so happy to hear when they are able to get out and enjoy the sun again!
    Great pics :)

  5. My dad is quite the gardener, and iris are his favorite flower. I grew up with over 30 diff varieties of Iris in our front yard, including (of course) the one in your photo.

  6. I love Spring, because....flowers begin to bloom, plants green up, and I can go outside without putting layers and layers on. I love Spring because it is almost Summer. And I really love summer.

  7. I can not wait for Spring-I love the flowers blooming and getting in my vegetable garden!! Everything just FEELS better!! This has felt like the longest winter ever!

  8. I'm looking forward to spring too! Especially the sunshine which we lack here in the Pacific Northwest during the winter.

  9. I so get what you are writing about - I have felt this winter would never end - even today, the sun is out and I can almost feel spring in the air, but it's cold - too cold for me. I loved your pictures of flowers - was a nice reminder of what will come, eventually :)

Glad you stopped by and said hi
