Brownies - Black Russian Style

It is etsyblogger carnival time again...and brownies are the pick of the post. I debated which recipe to post. The one I make (which is like once every other year)...comes from a box. I like to bake, but I leave the chocolaty goodness to the box people. So I searched my Mastercook and found this...It has alcohol, so it's got to be a hit, right? I'll try it next week and post pics and reviews from myself and whoever else I can con into trying them (should be pretty easy).

Ingredients:

4 unsweetened chocolate squares

1 cup butter

3/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 eggs, lightly beaten

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

1/3 cup Kahlua

2 tablespoons vodka

1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup chopped walnuts or toasted sliced almonds

powdered sugar (optional)

Directions:
1. Line bottom of 13x9" baking pan with waxed paper. Melt chocolate and butter with pepper in small saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat.

2. Combine eggs, sugar and vanilla in large bowl; beat well. Stir in cooled chocolate mixture, Kahlua and vodka. Combine flour, salt and baking powder; add to chocolate mixture and stir until blended. Add walnuts. Spread in prepared pan.
3. Bake in 350F. oven just until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 25 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.

4. Makes about 30 brownies.
..yeah right!

Nutrition:
(I know you don't
really want to know, but it's just me, I have to...) Per Serving (this is assuming 30 servings...yeah right!!! when was the last time you got 30 brownies out of a 13x9 pan? Never. so, double these numbers :)
